Rubber stone: what is it?
It is a type of a man-made surface, created out of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (or EPDM for short), which is a synthetic rubber granule sourced from recycled tires. These small rubber pieces, which can come in various colours (black, grey, red, silver, yellow) are bound and kept together by an especially developed binder. The process results in a porous surface that complies with the Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems requirements.
How does it work?
Apply directly on concrete, tarmac and compacted stone to achieve smooth, non-toxic and permeable surface appropriate even for wheelchairs and prams.
